You want to buy a company, or sell yours. We take you through it.
For an Indian company, buying a European company is often the shortest route to exporting: you get its customers, its brand, its approvals and its people on day one. For a European company, buying in India is the fastest way to a real presence. And for an owner with no successor, the right buyer from the other side of the world may be the one who keeps the company going. Most of our acquisition work is between India and Europe; buyers and sellers from other countries are welcome too. In every case, three things decide the outcome: finding the right company or buyer, knowing what the business is really worth, and a deal both sides can live with.

You run an Indian company and want to export to Europe
Buying a European company: the customers, the approvals and the address come with it.
What goes wrong. You have a good product and a good price, and still the European customers do not buy. They want a supplier with a European address, the right certifications, a service engineer who can be there tomorrow, and a name they know. Building that from Pune or Rajkot takes ten years. Buying it takes one.
What we do. Many family-owned companies in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France are in their later generations with no one in the family to take over. The owner wants a buyer who will keep the business and the people. We work out what kind of company would give you the customers and the approvals you need, find owners who are open to a sale, through our partner firms in those countries, approach them with care, and value the business before you make an offer. You bring the capital and a large home market; the European managers and team can stay and run the company, and you grow it from there.
What you get. A European company with its customers, brand and approvals, bought at a price that reflects what it is really worth, with the team in place and your name on the door.
You are in Europe, or elsewhere abroad, and want a company in India
More than an agent: a team, a factory and customers on day one.
What goes wrong. The company looks good on paper and the price seems fair. What nobody checked is the state of the machines, which customers would leave with the old owner, and what the books do not show.
What we do. We agree what you are looking for: a competitor in another region, a supplier you depend on, a company with a technology you want, or a business whose owner is ready to retire. We map the market confidentially, make the first approach, look at each candidate as engineers and as buyers, and take the deal through valuation, checking and negotiation.
What you get. A real presence in India at a price that reflects what the company is worth, with the risks known before you sign.
You own a company and want to sell, or bring in an investor
In Europe or in India. The right buyer may be on the other side of the world.
What goes wrong. The sale starts before the business is ready for it: the figures are untidy, the business depends on the owner, and the first buyer who appears sets the price. Or the company goes to the buyer who was easiest to find, not the one who would keep it going.
What we do. We value the business honestly, tell you what a buyer will question, and help you fix it before the business goes to market. Then we find the buyers who make sense, in India, in Europe or elsewhere, approach them discreetly, and run the process with the least disturbance to the running business.
What you get. A realistic price, an orderly sale, and a company with a future.
If you are buying
Three stages.
We agree what you are looking for
What the purchase is for, which trades or businesses fit, which regions, how much equity you have and what financing is available, and whether you want all of a company, most of it, a share, or a gradual entry.
You get a written search profile that every candidate is measured against.
We search and we value
Candidates from our network, our partner firms and businesses not publicly for sale. A first analysis of each. A fair valuation using the figures and the usual multiples of the industry. Then the proper checks on finances, operations, legal standing, people and market, coordinated with the specialists.
You get a realistic view of what the business is worth and where the risks are.
We negotiate and hand over
The price and the terms, the structure of the deal, the agreement itself, a handover period, how the key employees are kept, and a plan for the first hundred days. We stay until the business is yours in practice, not only on paper.
You get a smooth transition and a working start.
If you are selling
Three stages, with confidentiality kept at every step.
We value the business honestly
How it performs financially, how far it depends on you, whether customers and staff are won in a repeatable way, what the brand, the customer base and the know-how are worth, the growth a buyer can see, and the multiples paid in your industry.
You get a realistic price expectation and a list of what to fix before the sale.
We find the buyer
A sale profile of the business, discreet approaches to the strategic and financial buyers who make sense, screening of the replies, site visits and management presentations, and coordination of the buyers' checks.
You get an orderly process with the least disturbance to the running business.
We negotiate and close
Price and payment terms, a structure that limits your risk and liability, the conditions, and coordination with the legal and financial advisers through signing, completion and the agreed handover.
You get the best achievable deal, and a company with a future.
Thinking of selling? Six things a buyer will look at
The same six we start with in the valuation.
We work with partner firms for acquisitions in Germany, Switzerland and the rest of Europe, and in Canada; our European partner has closed deals like these, and our own acquisition mandates are under way. Legal, tax and audit work is done by qualified professionals in the country concerned. IND-TECH CONSULTANTS leads the search, the valuation and the negotiation, and coordinates the advisers on both sides.
Thinking of buying, or of selling?
The first step is a confidential conversation about what you want to achieve. You will get an honest view of whether there is an opportunity worth pursuing.
The first conversation costs nothing.
